I have been using my herbs to sooth this tired herb gardeners body. I have found relief with simple herbal remedies.
The weather has finally warmed up here in the mountains of Utah. We have been busy catching up in the gardens. And my body is feeling it!
To cure your achy body use bath salts. Put 2 cups of Epsons Salt and a few drops of lavender oil in your bath. Get into the tub as the water is running. This way you can really turn up the heat. Now soak and relax.
To cure your dry skin, rub your body with infused olive oil, just before you dry with a towel. I like rosemary or lavender oil. Peppermint and lemon balm make very invigorating infused oils.
I read somewhere that Sophia Loren uses olive oil after every bath. It works for me, it has cured chronic dry skin.
You can make infused oil using fresh herbs. Put 1 cup of herbs in l qt. of oil. Keep your infused oils in a cool dark place. Strain and poor into decorative bottles and give as gifts.
Look for decorative bottles online. Also add a fresh sprig of herb to your gift bottles.
