I like to take my ez herb gardening in to the kitchen. This ez herbed mustard is one way to use fresh herbs. And it tastes great on sandwiches, ham and in your favorite salad dressings.EZ Herbed Mustard 1 1/2 c. dijon mustard 1 1/2 T. dry white wine
1/4 c. chopped fresh herbs dill, mint, thyme, rosemary, basil, chives Mix and put into sterilized jar, tightly seal. This will keep in a cool dark place for 3 months.
Kathy of Canning and Preserving sterilizes her jars in the dish washer. I just place my jar in warm water and bring to a boil for 10 min. (My sweetie pie is my dishwasher and I don’t think that would sterilize a jar.)
My mother always coated her ham with mustard and apricot jam. I like to use rosemary herbed mustard and jam.
The chive mustard is good in potato salad.
P.S. These mustard would make great herbal gifts. You can decorate a 1/2 pint canning jar or look for small unusual jars. I like to tag my jars with the recipe or ways to use the mustard.
